The fashion show took place at the gardes of the Musée Rodin, all of it carpeted with the "Bois de Rose" carpet and scaffolding decoration.
It wasn´t a lot of Pink looks, but even so I want to share a few pictures of the Fashion show.
The collection could be call retro: a journey through the fifties with the voluminous skirts, the sixties and the sequins and stripes; and the seventies with the multicolour jacquard. But with a touck of modernity becasue the designer matched these skirts with sporty tops.
For Raf, each decade represented something: the 50´s and the Romanticism; the experimentation of the sisties and the liberation of the 70´s.
Fifties´vibe
Sixties´vibe
Seventies´vibe
I have to say that I don´t like the seventies´vibe. But the collection was really a travel around the decades that were different culturally. Raf mixes, magnifies the dissonance into a collection as captivating in its variety and in its execution.
The catwalk featured sequined-coloured party dresses, plastic printed coats, psychedelic catsuits, lace and sequins, floral lace, colorful ribbons striated on tops and skirts, delicate embroideries, guipure dresses. All of these looks were shown with second-skin strech boots made in vinyle, a touch of subversion into the romantic looks.
Pink floral embroidery dress
Sequined dress with XL vinyle booties
Yellow sporty top matching a striped tulle skirt
Psychodelic printed outfit, inspired on the 70´s
Plastic-fantastic top matching a striped mini skirt and XL vinyle booties
Yellow and Pink cut-out dress with a "New Look" inspired skirt
Lace guipure strapless dress
All the other looks were a shock whit the simplicity of the short yellow wooll coat with only a single vertical stripe of decoration.
The collecttion was more radical but, at the same time, so modern chic.
So do you like it?
What do you think about it?
