Dior Couture 2003 by John Galliano

John Galliano, when he was the designer of Dior, used to create Couture´s collections that took the audience  on a voyage of discovery new cultures.

For his autum 2003 collection, he was inspired by flamenco dancers, flappers, tango, the cancan, barefoot tribes and the Folies-Bergère. He created a collection full of gowns with bulging skirts and ruffles. And some of that dresses were Pink.

That Pink gown is inspired in by Spanish Flamenco. I like the floral embroidery on the bodice and the heart neckline.

This Pink sparkling dress reminds me of the Flappers. So twenties!!!

The Pink skirt is matched with a white bodice. It´s so Folies Bergère!!!

That Pink mini fringed dress is another example of the Flapper´style. I really would like to wear it to a party!!!

This is a Pink ballet gown. I like the Pink ruffled skirt. And the Pink ballet-inspired pumps!!!

That´s another Flamenco gown!!!

About the collection, Galliano said that "it´s important to remember where we come from": that´s because his spanish-born mother thaught him how to dance flamenco!!!

So, do you like the gowns? Aren´t a piece of art?
