Dior Fall Couture 2008

For the fall 2008 Dior Couture ´s fashion show, Jonh Galliano created new looks inspired by the iconic Bar Jacket and the New Look silhouette. But he twisted, turned and toughened the shaped silhouette. As he described it after the show: "Let´s just say I´ve decontextualized the jacket".

The collection was really pretty and focused on the Bar silhouette. There werea lot of outfits inspired on the Fifties fit-and-flare and the retro corolla skirts.

The colors: pink, beige, mallow, grey, candy-colored and violet created outfits were the tulle, silks and organza were shown through and were combined with lingerie details and leather lace.

A collection that was totally retro and really chic.

So let´s have a look on the Pink retro outfits.

The Bar silhouette of this suit is complemented with a big bow on the neckline and a glamourous hat

I really like the sequins´skirt. The waist is accentuated thanks of the belt

On that outfit the organza skirt is matched with a jacket with XL flaps

This fuchsia suit has a peplum top that emphasize the waist

A like that New Look strapless dress. It´s perfect for a cocktail party

The organza skirt has so many frills that give volume to the look

On that outfit the Bar silhouette is achieved by adjusting the waist with a belt and a voluminous strapless top

I adore all the collection! It reminds me of the first New Look designs created by Christian Dior itself in the Fifties!

So do you like it?
